Job description
The Senior Well Intervention Engineer will manage the technical design and putting together of programmes to carry out all wire line operations assigned to his team in line with company approved operational practices and procedures. He/She will also manage all aspects of wire line work and to give real-time advice on operational and other matters affecting the performance of his team.

The Senior Well Intervention Engineer will report to the Senior Drilling Completions Manager.

Responsibilities

• Manages all contractor services to ensure that high qualityservices are provided in accordance with their respective contracts.
• Planning and managing well test, coil tubing and pumping activities in line with approved standards and procedures.
• Review and validate well surveillance program, ensuring WRM alignment.
• Manage the interface with Subsurface and Operations Teams.
• Coordinate service contractors to ensure that high quality services are provided in accordance with their respective contracts
• Liaises with the Community Relation Officers to works out strategies with the host communities to minimize disruption in Well Intervention operations.
• Manage the process of obtaining DPR approvals and other governmental permitting requirements
• Planning and managing wire line activities, e.g. surveillance,SCSSSV change out, zone change etc. in line with current approved standards and procedures.
• Manage the progress of work on well intervention an activity assigned to his team & relates critical issues to Wells Managementfor resolution and directives
• Ensure that Well Intervention activities are carried out in accordance with the company HSEMS and HSE policies and standards.
• Direct the organization of logistics/expedites materials and equipment to his units.
• Manage the preparation of economic analysis for decision making in a problem well.
• Promotes Efficiency in the working culture among the well siteteam to continuously improve historical performance year on year.
• Visits Well Intervention companies and contractors to discuss and source equipment and services related to his job.
• Promotes inclusion of relevant new technology procedures andequipment in well intervention activities.
• Drives the full implementation of Efficiency improvement process during well intervention program execution, thus optimizing the operational and technical performance of Well Intervention andcontractors under his custody.
• Monitor the HSE, operational, commercial and technical performance of the units and contractors under his control, measurethe quality of the products and services and formulate routes for improvement.
• Demonstrate a high commitment to HSE

Qualifications and Experience

• Must have a degree in Engineering.MBA will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 10 years experience on a similar role, with 2 years as a Field Supervisor.
• Possess a valid IWCF/WIPC certificate or equivalent.
• Knowledge of well control techniques and well intervention operations.
